RECAP OF 2012 CALLYWOOD AWARDS

AWESOME, AWESOME WEEKEND!!!! The 2012 Callywood Awards weekend was excellent!!!! On Friday was the Kick Off party where Cosandra Calloway, illustrious host of Callywood(www.blogtalkradio.com/callywood), broadcasted her show and the authors of STRATEGIC PLANNING FOR LOVE & WAR were there signing their book. On Saturday, the Awards show was on and cracking. Thank you so much, Cally, for the award nomination. It was a great honor to be recognized for the work that God blesses me to do. On yesterday, I was treated to my first limo ride to the closing night of the musical MEMPHIS at the Pantages Theater Hollywood by Cally herself. It was wonderful!!!! TRUFFLEPALOOZA 2012

I was blessed to attend a wonderful event on yesterday. The Trufflepalooza is a event that was started 4 years ago by food blogger Erika Penzer Kerekes. The name of her blog is called IN ERIKA'S KITCHEN. The star ingredient was the truffle, which is a type of fungus (closely related to the mushroom). She made all kinds of wonderful and tasty appetizers with truffles. Some included creamy mushroom soup with truffles, truffle cheese chips, truffled tacos, truffle dumplings, filet mignon with homemade truffle butter, vanila pudding with truffle honey and hazelnuts and truffled chocolate truffles. This was my first time trying truffles; they really pack a huge punch. She only sprinkled mere shavings on everything, but that's all that was needed. It was an awesome experience. This was my first time going to this event, but it sure will not be my last. I hope to have Erika on my radio show sometime soon.
